This is why when Musk was pitching Starship as a plane replacement smarter people told him it wouldn’t work. 

Even if you can fly to Australia in 45 mins from the other side of the globe, a large rocket can’t be anywhere near a population center. 

So given the time to check in, load bags (up in the sky), and move people the 5 miles to the isolated rocket (in the ocean? Where else can you clear a 5 mile radius near a city?) and boarded you are looking at maybe 4 hours on each end. Then you have to fuel the rocket because you won’t have it sitting there fueled like a bomb boiling off propellant while it sits. So then you have hours while people sit on their backs sweating while the rocket is prepped. 

So your time saving in flight is almost irrelevant and your danger is orders of magnitude higher. Especially with Space X’s top down slapdash approach.
